Erik Schweiss is an entrepreneur, business builder and M&A advisor with more than 25 years of experience building companies, growing revenue and advising business owners across multiple industries.
Erik grew up in the Pacific Northwest, where entrepreneurship was part of life from an early age. He and his twin brother, Eivind, watched their parents build and operate a boat-building and repair business in the San Juan Islands. At 11 years old, the twins started their own neighborhood barbershop, cutting their friends’ hair and getting an early—and memorable—introduction to running a business.
Sports were another major influence. Erik earned a basketball scholarship to Concordia University in Portland, Oregon, where he played point guard for longtime coach Brad Barbarick. His early career included teaching and coaching basketball, experiences that shaped his approach to leadership around preparation, accountability, teamwork and developing people—principles he later carried into business.
Over the next two decades, Erik combined entrepreneurship with a career in sales, technology and business leadership. He founded and built companies across construction, real estate, healthcare and sports technology while also holding leadership roles within larger organizations. His work has included building sales organizations, developing new markets, implementing technology, improving operations and leading teams through periods of growth and change.
As Co-Founder of Twin Advisors Group, Erik works alongside business owners to identify growth opportunities, uncover profit leakage and make practical improvements across sales, marketing, operations, technology, AI and financial performance. His focus is straightforward: grow revenue, improve profitability and EBITDA, and build stronger, more valuable businesses.
Erik also serves as Managing Director at Genz & Associates, where his work in mergers and acquisitions gives him firsthand exposure to business owners, private equity firms, family offices and strategic buyers. That experience has provided another perspective on what drives enterprise value—and how decisions made years before a transaction can affect what a business is ultimately worth.
Today, Erik continues to build and invest in businesses at different stages while working with entrepreneurs on many of the same challenges he has encountered throughout his own career. The common thread has remained consistent: build strong teams, grow revenue, embrace technology, improve operations and create long-term value.
Erik is based in Newport Beach, California, where he lives with his wife, Anna, and their two children, Ellis and Celine. Outside of work, he coaches his kids’ sports teams, enjoys traveling with Anna and takes full advantage of the Southern California weather by staying active outdoors.
